Don't Let A Couple Of Dollars Ruin Life's Memories

With modern day advances in technology we often forget the art form of photography. It is an art just like dancing or lets say barbering. Its accessibility makes us think we all can do it. You can go to walmart and purchase some hair clippers but does that make you a barber? No, lol just like having a Samsung or iPhone doesn't make you a photographer. Can you take dope pictures on it? Of course, with optimal lighting and a clsoe focal range you absolutely can. But in low light and when your subject in not 4 feet in front of you everthing changes. This is when your skill set plays a major part in your image making. I've seen people take images under less than favorable conditions with a smart phone and it looks like crap.

If you know that you're going to have an event or gathering of friends and loved ones I implore you to book a professional photographer. Some book as low as $75 an hour (be wary) but that money you spend to capture some of life's most precious memories will be well spent in the long run. Wouldn't you hate to have that one family picture with granny, momma, that brother who stays across the country, that aunt who you only see every 15 years ruined beacuse you tried to shoot it with your new iPhone 7 but your background was backlight and everybody came out dark? You know you might not never get all these people in the same area together again.

Birthday too, its some things that our wonderful phones just can't do as well as professional and even some consumer made photo cameras. Plus if you're a parent you should be relishing in the moment not trying to take a million pictures until you find the right one. You're holding up the moment and you're probably fustrating guest as well. Embrace this time with your child and leave the picture taking up to someone else - T Flow
